AS YOU CAN SEE ABOVE,
WISCONSIN HAS MORE BOONE & CROCKET RECORDS THAN ALL THE STATES COMBINED.
AND BIG RACKS HUNT CLUB IS LOCATED IN ONE OF THE HIGHEST DEER DENSITY AREAS IN WISCONSIN.
ALL OF OUR HUNTS ARE FAIR CHASE.
Big Racks Hunt Club is a fair chase private property.
We have stands strategically placed throughout the property, however hunters are welcome to bring their own stand.
We promote a family friendly environment with many of the hunters hunting with their spouse and family. The property is so close to Wisconsin Dells......the water park capital of the world, that a lot of the hunters combine the time they spend at the BRHC with their family at some of the attractions in the Dells. Some like to go to the water parks, some go horseback riding, some ride the Wisconsin Dells Ducks, or take a boat ride down the Wisconsin River or Lake Delton.
The combination of Big Racks Hunt Club and Wisconsin Dells is second to none.
This is really for hunters who want to hunt on their own using their own legal techniques and methods rather than being restricted by a Guide. Otherwise, the first time you come, we will help you get to the area you are hunting, and we will show you where the stands are. But then you will be hunting on your own, at least until you shoot a deer. We have trails cut so if you shoot a deer, just drag it to the nearest trail and we will gladly help you drag it out.
We aren't a big group of hunters.................. I'm more interested in having quality hunters in camp who get along with each other, respect each other and share common interest, more than having a ton of hunters coming and going with no regard for the our land, the animals on it or the conservation program we practice. Many of the hunters here return every year and are considered friends and hunting partners.
In an effort to assure more enjoyable experiences I hand pick and invite hunters to hunt here based upon who I feel are individuals with similar views pertaining to hunting and the outdoors.
The land is divided into 12 areas, each with about 3 to 5 stands. Hunters are assigned an area to hunt and once you have your area nobody else can hunt in it unless you agree to it. I also rotate areas and stands to prevent over hunting.
All of us want meat in the freezer, but we also recognize the opportunity to shoot a big deer can very exciting. However, shooting a big boy can't happen if they aren't allowed to grow, so we do have some minor restrictions on harvests.......1. Kids under 18 can shoot anything they want. 2. Senior citizens over 65 can shoot anything they want. 3. Hunters who have never shot a buck before can shoot anything they want. All other hunters need to shoot bucks with racks the width of the ears or beyond or equally dimensional for a high racked buck that might not have the width but makes up for it in height. In addition, there should be at least 4 points on one side. For those who pay attention to "inches" we are basically trying to shoot bucks in the 125 inch class or bigger. We also shoot mature does
